Positive year for St Lucia, says PM

St. Lucia’s Prime Minister, Stephenson King has indicated that his government will be undertaking several initiatives this year geared towards the country’s development agenda and increasing employment.



In an address to the nation, Prime Minister King said a number of construction projects would begin this year.



He said the government is in negotiations for the construction of a new terminal at the Hewanorra International Airport.



There are also considerations to build more hospitals and resume three projects in the hotel industry.



The St Lucian Prime Minister also said investments will be made in the water sector and the island’s first Casino is expected be opened this year.
