The opposition People\'s Action Movement (PAM) in St Kitts and Nevis is renewing calls for the government to set a permanent election date for general elections.

PAM leader Lindsay Grant says the fixed date idea will prevent leaders in office from playing with the minds and emotions of the public.

According to Mr Grant, Prime Minister Denzil Douglas has on eleven recent occasions given the impression that he was about to call the elections after indicating that he was making a major announcement.

In a statement issued by PAM, Mr Grant called for Prime Minister Douglas to cease his antics and call the elections.
