Skerrit reiterates campaign promises

Dominica’s Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit has reiterated his government’s commitment to increasing the minimum wage and lowering the cost of living within the next three months.



Mr. Skerrit and his new 15-member Cabinet were sworn into office on Monday, following a victory at the polls at the recent general elections.



Prime Minister Skerrit had promised that his administration would increase the minimum wage to 1,000 Eastern Caribbean dollars, create 100 new positions for nurses and 150 jobs for teachers.
