Call for Cuba to be removed from terror watch list

The Director of the US-Cuba Policy Initiative, Anya Landau-French, is calling for Cuba to be removed from the US State Department\'s terror watch list.



According to Mrs. Landau-French, Cuba has not been a threat to the United States for a couple of decades.



The island has been included on a list of countries whose US bound air passengers are being subjected to extra security screening.



The United States has put in place new security measures, with passengers from 14 high risk countries facing even tougher checks than most.



Cuban authorities have labeled the new measures a politically motivated ploy to justify the American trade embargo against the communist island.
