More Chinese dairy executives charged
Three more dairy executives in China have been charged in connection with the 2008 tainted milk scandal.
Reports out of China indicate that the practice of selling milk contaminated with the chemical melamine continues.
Melamine is an industrial chemical used in the making of plastics and fertilizers.
If ingested it can cause kidney failure and kidney stones.
Prosecutors in Shanghai have confirmed that three executives are to go on trial for allegedly selling tainted milk within a week.
Reports also suggest that the authorities knew about the contamination but failed to inform the public.
Six children died and 300 thousand became ill from tainted milk in 2008.
Two people were executed in November last year for their part in the scheme and 19 other people have been jailed.
