Rafael Nadal advanced to the Qatar Open final by beating Viktor Troicki of Serbia 6-1, 6-3 today.

The Spaniard could face top-ranked Roger Federer in the final. The 15-time Grand Slam champion from Switzerland is scheduled to play Nikolay Davydenko later today.

Nadal, playing without a coach in Doha, broke Troicki three times in the first set at the Khalifa Tennis Complex.

Troicki managed to break Nadal in the second set despite trailing 4-0, but he couldn\'t stop the Australian Open champion from winning.

In Australia, Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters will meet in a battle of the comeback queens at the Brisbane International event.

Both are former world number ones and Henin, playing her first event since May 2008, crushed Serbia\'s Ana Ivanovic 6-3, 6-2 in a little more than an hour today.

Clijsters, who made her own return from retirement to win last year\'s US Open, had a similarly comfortable win against Germany\'s Andrea Petkovic 6-4, 6-2.
