The case against the wife of Trinidad’s Prime Minister, Patrick Manning has been dismissed.
Local Government Minister, Hazel Manning had been accused by housewife, Natasha Cumberbatch of using violent language against her.
However, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said it has decided to discontinue the private matter brought against her.
In discontinuing the case, Magistrate Lucina Cardenas-Ragoonanan said the prosecution would not be proceeding any further with the matter, as there was no way of supporting the allegations.
She also warned Cumberbatch that she should be careful about making unfounded allegations.
Cumberbatch admitted that she was on medication and had been receiving psychiatric counseling.
