Regional four-day round up

Champions Jamaica are in a strong position to record an outright victory over Leeward Islands entering today’s final day of their second round West Indies Cricket Board Regional four-day game at Warner Park in St Kitts.



The Leeward Islands, trailing Jamaica by 191 runs on first innings, will resume this morning on 62 for two in their second innings.



West Indies batsman Runako Morton is undefeated on 42.



Discarded West Indies bowler Daren Powell and David Bernard Junior have taken the wickets to fall on yesterday’s third day which saw play restricted to just over an hour and a half because of rain.



The Jamaicans declared at their overnight score of 379 for eight that left Leeward Islands trailing by a hefty 191 runs on first innings.



Scores in the match so far:- Leeward Islands 188 and 62 for two; Jamaica 379 for eight declared.



Over at Grove Park:- Steady rain yesterday prevented a ball from being bowled in the match between Barbados and Combined Campuses and Colleges.



Combined Campuses and Colleges will now start their second innings today after Barbados took a first innings lead of 88.



Scores in that match so far:- Combined Campuses and Colleges 213; Barbados 301.



Over at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground --- Trinidad and Tobago, leading Guyana by 143 runs on first innings, reached 147 for seven at the close of yesterday’s rain-affected third day of their day/night encounter.
