Miss Angeline for Eight Thirty Sprint

Published:Friday | January 22, 2010 | 5:17 PM

The three-year-old campaign leading up to the season’s first classics, the One Thousand and Two Thousand Guineas on April 5, begins tomorrow at Caymanas Park with the Eight Thirty Sprint over the straight five course.

The race has attracted a maximum field of 16, including the well-forward debutante MISS ANGELINE to be ridden by title-chasing jockey Paul Francis for trainer Percy Hussey.

MISS ANGELINE has caught the eye at exercise in preparation for the race and is expected to get off the mark immediately.

She will have most to fear from the more experienced trio of ALEXIS, HERA and TOPLESS ANGEL.

Also on the 10-race programme are the 3-year-old and up open allowance race for the St Catherine Cup over 1100 metres and race Number One in the CTL Claiming Series over 1200 metres.

Post time on the card is 12:15.
