Tivoli defeat Humble Lions in DPL
Striker Navion Boyd hammered in two goals to lead champions Tivoli Gardens to a 2-0 victory over Humble Lions as the third and final round in the Digicel Premier League got off yesterday.
The game was played at the Edward Seaga Stadium.
The victory takes Tivoli Gardens to second place in the points table on 41 points, four behind leaders Harbour View on 45.
The \'Stars of the East\' have stretched their lead following a 1-0 win over Sporting Central Academy at the Harbour View Mini Stadium.
Over at the Spanish Town Prison Oval, beaten end of second round finalist Waterhouse, were held to a goalless draw by Rivoli United and slipped to third place on 41 points.
In the remaining matches, August Town edged Portmore United 1-0 at the UWI Bowl, Arnett Gardens and St Georges battled to a goalless draw at the Anthony Spaulding Complex and Boys Town beat Village United 3-1 at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay to move to fourth place.
