At least 23 bodies have now been pulled from the sea after an Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed off Beirut.

The Addis Ababa-bound Flight ET409 burst into flames and crashed into the Mediterranean shortly after take-off from Beirut airport in stormy weather.

Rescuers are continuing to search for bodies and wreckage, as well as the aircraft\'s flight recorder.

However, officials say it is very unlikely that any of the 90 people on board the Boeing 737-800 will be found alive.

The Boeing 737-800 had seven crew members and 82 passengers, 51 Lebanese, 23 Ethiopians, two Britons and citizens from Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Canada, Russia and France.
