The governments of Britain and St Lucia say they plan to intensify attempts to go after the profits made by drug traffickers.
The initiative was announced by the new British High Commissioner to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean, Paul Brummell.
He spoke in St Lucia after a meeting with the National Security Minister, Guy Mayers.
Mr. Brummell said one area of collaboration which will be looked at is financial, which will include targeting the profits of drug traffickers.
According to Mr. Brummell, the money seized will be given to St. Lucia to use in tackling the consequences of drug-related crime.
