Economic Affairs Minister in Barbados Dr David Estwick said he will be asking the Prime Minister to outline his position on a wage freeze in the context of the country’s economic situation.

According to Dr Estwick state assets might have to be sold to help the government ride out the situation.

Dr Estwick said he’ll be asking Prime Minister David Thompson, who is also the Finance Minister to decide on the way forward.

He’s also calling for trade unions to support the proposed measure in light of the current economic realities.
