FIFA has pledged to spend $3 million to rebuild football infrastructure in Haiti.
FIFA\'s finance committee created a Haitian special projects fund today, in addition to $250 thousand emergency aid it provided after the January 12 earthquake.
Football\'s governing body promised to help rebuild Haiti\'s football association headquarters, coaching centers and playing fields.
FIFA will also provide basic equipment to support teams playing in leagues and youth competitions.
FIFA acted on a report from its executive member Jack Warner, president of the CONCACAF region that includes Haiti, who visited the island to assess what help was needed.
