Jamaican wins in Germany

Jamaican Lerone Clarke clocked a personal season\'s best 6.57 seconds to win the men\'s 60-metre at the Sparkassen Cup indoor track and field meet in Germany at the weekend.



Clarke won narrowly ahead of the Netherland Antilles\' Churandy Martina, who clocked 6.58 seconds to also logged his quickest time of the year.



Nigerian Ogho-Oghene Egwero was third in 6.62.



Jamaican Dwight Thomas had to settle for third in the men\'s 60-metre hurdles in 7.64 seconds.



The event was won by Cuban Dayron Robles in a world-leading 7.49 seconds.



Jamaica\'s reigning Commonwealth Games sprint hurdles champion Maurice Wignal was sixth in 8.13.



Jamaican middle distance champion Kenia Sinclair secured the only Caribbean win at the Reebok Boston Indoor Game by dominating the women\'s one thousand metre.



Sinclair using late-race accelaration to win the event in two minuter 38.62 seconds at the Reggae Lawn Centre.



The American pair of Anna Pierce and Erin Donohue chased Sinclair, whose winning time is the second quickest in the world so far this year over the distance.



Over in Indiana, Jamaican Kimberly Laing captured the women\'s 60-metre hurdles.



Laing, who attends the University of Alabama, clocked 8.35 seconds to defeat Notre Dame\'s Nevada Sorenson, 8.41.
