The former doctor of late pop singer, Michael Jackson, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter by prosecutors in Los Angeles.

Dr Conrad Murray is expected to deny the charges in court.

If convicted, Murray could face up to four years in prison.

Earlier this afternoon, photographers and news cameras were gathered at the Los Angeles International Airport Courthouse ahead of the doctor’s arrival.

Jackson died at his home last June at the age of 50.

His death was ruled a homicide, mainly caused by the anaesthetic Propofol.
