Former US President, Bill Clinton has left the Manhattan hospital where he underwent a heart procedure.

He reportedly smiled as he walked out of New York Presbyterian Hospital, got into a waiting car, and waved for the cameras.

Clinton’s cardiologist had earlier said that he was in good spirits after the procedure, in which doctors inserted two stents to clear a clogged artery in his heart.

Dr Allan Schwartz said he could be back at work as soon as Monday, adding that the former US president did not suffer a heart attack.
