Canadian PM to visit Haiti

The Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, is due to visit Haiti today.
He’s scheduled to meet with Haitian President Rene Preval and Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive during his two-day tour.
The Canadian leader will also inspect efforts by Canadian armed forces to help rebuild the country.
In a statement, Harper reiterated his country’s commitment to continue to work with the government of Haiti to deliver urgent humanitarian assistance.
Meanwhile, the French president Nicolas Sarkozy is also due in Port-au-Prince this week.
