Bad weather postpones Alpine schedule
Bad weather returned to the Vancouver Olympics Alpine venue today and forced organisers to postpone the men\'s super-combined event and cancel women\'s downhill training on day five of the Olympics.
The men\'s super-combined race was called off due to heavy snowfall throughout the night and soft conditions on the lower section of the course.
No new date was immediately set, although officials had indicated yesterday that the race would be moved to Friday if there was a delay.
It\'s the third race that has been postponed on the Alpine schedule following the mix of warm temperatures, snow, rain and fog that wreaked havoc with the Alpine schedule last week.
Of the four Alpine races scheduled so far, only one has gone off, the men\'s downhill was won by Didier Defago of Switzerland yesterday.
The women have had only one official training run, a split session yesterday.
The women\'s downhill race is scheduled for tomorrow and the women\'s super-combined has been moved to Thursday.
