New Zealand in driver’s seat

The host country will head into the final day of their one-off Test against Bangladesh in Hamilton firmly in the driving seat.
Bangladesh will begin tomorrow’s final day on 88 for 5 in their second innings, chasing an improbable victory target of 404.
Earlier, opener Tim McIntosh led the way with 89 for New Zealand as they eventually declared on 258 for 5 after resuming this morning on nine for one, 154 runs ahead.
Martin Guptill 56 not out and Ross Taylor 51 also scored half centuries for New Zealand.
New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori then took two for 23 to put Bangladesh under pressure.
Scores in the match so far are New Zealand 553 and 258 for five declared, Bangladesh 408 and 88 for five.
