CARICOM leaders are due next month to finally sign an agreement for member nations to use each other\'s air and sea spaces in the fight against crime.
Deadlines to sign the Maritime and Airspace Security Cooperation Agreement have been passed on more than one occasion.
However, Guyana\'s Foreign Minister, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, says the document will be signed at the first quarter summit to be held in Dominica from March 11 to 12.
According to CARICOM, the agreement on cross-border security cooperation is aimed at such areas as drug trafficking, illegal immigration and the prevention of smuggling.
