Hydel, Belair take last semi-final spots

Hydel High School and Belair have secured the last semi-final spots in the ISSA/KFC Under-19 National Schools Basketball play-offs.



St Catherine-based Hydel High recorded a 55-49 victory over Edwin Allen High yesterday at Church of the Nazarene to cement their place, while Belair advanced without taking the court at the Montego Bay Cricket Club.



Belair’s opponents Mannings failed to show for their contest yesterday.



The semifinals are set for next Wednesday and Thursday at 4 p.m. in the afternoon.



On Wednesday, Belair and Ardenne will face off at the Stadium Courts, while on Thursday, Hydel tackle Herbert Morrison at Montego Bay Cricket Club.



The semi-finals for the Under-16 competition will also take place on Wednesday and Thursday, beginning at 2 p.m.



St Georges will face Camperdown on Wednesday at the Stadium Courts and Knox College will play Ardenne High on Thursday at Belair.



The finals will take place on March 2 at the Stadium Courts.
