Tivoli join Harbour atop Premiership table
Defending champions Tivoli Gardens have joined Harbour View atop the Digicel Premier League table after crushing Sporting Central Academy 4-0 in an away game at Brancourt in Clarendon yesterday.
Both teams are on 51 points after Harbour View, who led by three points going into yesterday’s round of matches, lost 2-1 to August Town at the UWI Bowl.
August Town have now moved to sixth place following the victory.
The leaders are nine points clear of third-place Waterhouse, who came-from-behind twice for a 2-2 draw against St Georges at Lynch Park in Portland.
St Georges remain in fifth with the point.
In other games, Arnett Gardens edged Rivoli United 1-0 at Prison Oval in Spanish Town but remain bottom of the table; while fourth place Boys’ Town and third-from-the bottom Humble Lions battled to a goalless draw at Effortville Community Centre in Clarendon.
