St Lucia implements water restriction

St Lucia has implemented water-related emergency measures, as the country grapples with a prolonged dry period.



Officials in Castries have warned that those who contravene the restricted use of water regulations will face court fines.



St Lucian officials had been hoping to import water from Dominica to alleviate their country\'s water shortage.



However, Dominica\'s water company, Dowasco, is reporting that the company is facing some difficulties as well.



It is recommending that residents conserve water.
