Jamaica’s amateur welterweight champion Sakima Mulling will get another chance to make his professional boxing debut when he takes on Raymond Gordon on Saturday night over four rounds at the Barbican Beach football field.

The contest is the main bout on an eight-fight card, which includes seven amateur bouts.

The 17-year-old Mulling, who fights out of Burising Gym, was scheduled to make his professional debut on January 16 in Montego Bay but his opponent, Glenroy Beckford of Hard Knocks Gym failed to show.

Mulling’s opponent, who is from the Stanley Couch Gym, will also make his professional debut on the night.

The card will also feature three England-based Jamaican boxers who will be attempting to represent Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games in India in October.

General Secretary of the Jamaica Amateur Boxing Board of Control, Leroy Brown, believes the card will be a success with the inclusion of the England-based boxers.

The England-based Jamaican boxers are welterweights Philip Bowes and Ahmet Patterson and middleweight Reega Shaquorie.
