West Indies cricketers, smarting from their heavy losses on tour of Australia, are due to arrive in Trinidad tonight from London for the series against Zimbabwe.

The Caribbean cricketers will have little or no rest as they face a determined Zimbabwe outfit at the Queen’s Park Oval in the series opener on Sunday, a one-off 20/20 International.

The teams will also play two One-Day Internationals in Guyana next week, before contesting the three final matches in St Vincent.

West Indies team liaison officer Rangy Nanan says the players who toured Australia will arrive tonight, while Jamaican Dave Bernard is expected in the morning.

The West Indies team will have the day off tomorrow before staging their solitary training session at the Queen’s Park Oval on Saturday when they meet with their new coach Ottis Gibson.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe cricketers, who arrived Tuesday night, had a light training session at the Queen’s Park Oval yesterday.

Zimbabwe will tackle the UWI Vice-Chancellor’s Eleven in a warm-up match at St Augustine tomorrow.
