Jamaica, T&T face off
The final round of the 2010 West Indies Cricket Board Regional first-class championship bowls off in Guyana today with reigning champions Jamaica needing an outright victory against Trinidad and Tobago to retain their title.
That match will take place at Progress Park.
Jamaica will enter the final round in second position on 48 points and with Barbados ahead by nine runs, it means that only maximum 12 points can give Jamaica a historic three consecutive titles.
The Barbadians completed their schedule with a 10-wicket whipping of Jamaica on Sunday in Trinidad.
Both Jamaica and T&T will be missing crucial players.
Jamaica will be without David Bernard and Wavell Hinds, while T&T will have to do without the talented, youthful duo of Adrian Barath and Darren Bravo.
In the days’ other matches, fourth place Combined Campuses and Colleges and fifth place Leeward Islands face off at in a day/night encounter at the Beausejour Cricket Ground, while sixth place Guyana play seventh place Windward Islands in a bottom-of-the table clash at the National Stadium.
