Reggae Girls, T&T in goalless draw

Jamaica national Under-17 Reggae Girls and their counterparts from Trinidad and Tobago played to a goalless draw on yesterday’s opening day of the four-nation Women’s Under-17 football competition at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in Trinidad.



In the day’s other match, Mexico defeated Canada 2-1.



Jamaica will next play Canada on Wednesday and Mexico on Friday.



The young Reggae Girls are preparing for the CONCACAF round of the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers in Costa Rica next month.



For the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers, Jamaica are drawn in Group B and will face Canada, Mexico and Panama.



Group A consists of Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti and defending champions the USA.
