Five newcomers named in England’s squad

England’s selectors have named five newcomers in a provisional squad for the World 20/20 tournament in the West Indies at the end of April.



Fast-medium bowler Steven Finn of Middlesex, Hampshire batsman Michael Lumb, allrounder Peter Trego of Somerset, Yorkshire slow leftarm spinner David Wainwright and medium pace bowler Chris Woakes of Warwickshire are in a 30-man squad which will be halved by March 30.



Paul Collingwood will captain the team, which also includes South African-born opener and wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter, who became eligible to play for England two weeks ago.



The World 20/20 is scheduled for April 30 to May 16.
