Reggae Girlz, Canada face off today

Jamaica national Under-17 Reggae Girls will face their counterparts from Canada as the four-nation Women’s Under-17 football competition continues today at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in Trinidad.



The match will be the first game of a double-header at the stadium, as hosts Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico will face off.



Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago played to a goalless draw in the opening round on Sunday, while Mexico defeated Canada 2-1.



The young Reggae Girlz are preparing for the CONCACAF round of the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers in Costa Rica next month.



For the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers, Jamaica are drawn in Group B and will face Canada, Mexico and Panama.



Group A consists of Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti and defending champions the USA.
