The spotlight will be on returning West Indies captain Chris Gayle when the Caribbean side face Zimbabwe in the first game of their five-match One-Day International series tomorrow.

The match will take place at Guyana’s National Stadium in Providence.

Smarting from their horrible trip to Australia and the embarrassing loss to Zimbabwe in the series-opening one-off 20/20 International on Sunday, West Indies will be hoping for a good start.

New West Indies coach Otis Gibson is confident Gayle can supply the team with a good start after he was rested for Sunday’s 20/20.

Gibson says he is satisfied with the practice sessions since arriving from Trinidad early Monday.

He further says he expects Gayle to have a positive impact on the team.

Gayle is one of three possible changes in the West Indies side, as batsman Narsingh Deonarine and spinner Nikita Miller, fresh from the Australia tour, may also be drafted in to replace Darren Bravo, Andre Fletcher and Ravi Rampaul.
