Rationing hours extended in St. Vincent

The water company in St Vincent is considering rationing water for longer hours, because of the ongoing drought.

Other Caribbean islands have been forced to take similar action.

In the past few weeks the Central Water and Sewerage Authority has been turning off the water supply from 11 at nights to 5 the following morning.

But Public Relations Officer, Joan Ryan, says due to critical levels in the main catchment area, they have reviewed the shut-off time to 9 at nights to last until 4:30 in the mornings.
