Reggae Girls face Mexico today
Jamaica’s young Reggae Girls will go in search of their first victory in the four-nation Under-17 Invitational women’s tournament when they face Mexico this afternoon at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in Trinidad.
The match is set to kick off at 4 o’clock and is the first game of a double-header at the venue.
Hosts Trinidad and Tobago and Canada will contest the second game.
The Jamaicans have only gained a point after two games. They battled to a goalless draw against Trinidad and Tobago in their opening match on Sunday and then suffered a 4-1 defeat to Canada on Wednesday.
The teams are using the tournament to prepare for the CONCACAF round of the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers in Costa Rica next month.
For the Under-17 World Cup qualifiers, Jamaica are drawn in Group B and will face Canada, Mexico and Panama.
Group A of the qualifiers consists of Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti and defending champions the USA.
