Magic beat Lakers in rematch

Vince Carter had 25 points, and Dwight Howard finished with 15 points and 16 rebounds as the Orlando Magic beat the Los Angeles Lakers 96-94 last night in the NBA.



The victory hands Los Angeles their first three-game losing streak of the Pau Gasol-Kobe Bryant era.



Bryant had 34 points and Gasol added 20 points for the Lakers.



At Boston, Ray Allen scored a game-high 25 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with 17 point 1 seconds remaining, as Boston Celtics rallied past Washington Wizards 86-83.



Other winners last night were Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers.
