UN meeting examines women\'s issues

The United Nations is hosting a meeting today to review the results of a landmark conference in Beijing in 1995, which came up with a plan to end discrimination against women.
Todays’ talks coincide with the annual observance of International Women\'s Day.
Statistics show that while there\'s been increase access to education for girls, two-thirds of all illiterate adults are women.
The UN\'s deputy secretary general Asha-Rose Migiro says it is unacceptable that women also continue to bear the greatest poverty and experience the greatest violence.
