Euell finds favour with Blackpool boss after winner
Reggae Boy Jason Euell’s first goal in nearly five months has prompted Blackpool boss Ian Holloway to take a fresh look at the player.
The 33-year-old was starting his first game in almost a month on Saturday when he found the 54th minute winner that inspired the hosts to a 1-0 win over Ipswich at Bloomfield Road.
Halloway said he will pick Euell more often in the starting eleven.
Euell has had a turbulent spell at the club since signing a one-year contract with the League Championship outfit at the start of the season.
He captained the club in the first match of the season but after scoring his first goal in September, struggled thereafter and has failed to make the starting eleven in recent games.
Euell, who currently has four goals, is a well travelled frontman, having spent six years at Wimbledon before moving to Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough and then Southampton.
