The Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) will host West Indies, Ireland and Canada in the first staging of the Supreme Ventures Sports Betting Jamaica Cricket Festival next month.

The cricket festival, which was launched last night at Acropolis Gaming Lounge, will feature a three-day match along with 20/20 matches and 50 overs games from April 3 to 18.

The festival begins on April 3 with Jamaica playing Ireland in a three-day match at Chedwin Park.

Jamaica and Canada will then be joined by the West Indies and Canada in 50 overs and 20/20 games to be played at Sabina Park, Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium and Port Rhoades Sports Club over a 13-day period.

The cricket festival is a partnership between the JCA and gaming company Supreme Ventures Limited.

JCA president Paul Campbell says the partnership was established after the local association was successful in signing a historic agreement with Cricket Ireland for an annual reciprocal tour programme over three years.

The West Indies Cricket Board and Cricket Canada will use the festival as part of their preparations for the ICC World 20/20 tournament, which bowls off later in the month.

Title sponsors Supreme Ventures Limited will showcase its Just Bet brand of sports betting during the period of the festival. The 50 overs games being played on April 13 and 15 will be offered for wagering by Just Bet.
