A career-best spell from Darren Sammy carried West Indies to a 141-run victory in the third One-day International against Zimbabwe at Arnos Vale Sports Complex in St Vincent today.

Sammy captured four wickets for 26 runs from 10 overs, as Zimbabwe, chasing 246 for victory from their allocation of 50 overs, were dismissed for 104 in 31 point 5 overs.

Sammy was assisted well by pace bowler Kemar Roach 3 for 28 and fellow all-rounder Dwayne Bravo two for 23.

The result gave West Indies a 2-1 lead in the five-match series with the final two matches to be played at the same venue on Friday and Sunday.

Earlier, veteran left-hander Shivnarine Chanderpaul anchored West Indies to 245 for 9 off 50 overs.

The 35-year-old top scored with 58 off 76 deliveries.

Openers Chris Gayle 33 and Adrian Barath 35 had set a solid platform with a first-wicket stand of 48, while the late order beefed up the total by adding 92 runs from the last 10 overs.

Elton Chigumbura and Prosper Utseya ended with two wickets apiece for Zimbabwe.

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle is now looking ahead to the fourth game.
