South African police earlier today opened fire with rubber bullets on schoolchildren demonstrating at the court appearance of a local rapper charged with murder.
Molemo Maarohanye, better known as Jub Jub, is accused of killing four students during a car race.
Crowds of children gathered at the Soweto court and threw stones, brandished placards and reportedly threatened to kill the rapper.
The police were called in to disperse the students.
Mr. Maarohanye and his co-accused were in court for an ongoing bail hearing.
