Clarke puts Australia on top in Wellington

Michael Clarke brushed aside his off-field issues to put Australia in a strong position after day one of the first Test against hosts New Zealand in Wellington.
The 28-year-old, who recently split from fiancée and model Lara Bingle, was 100 not out as the tourists piled on 316 for 4.
Clarke shared an unbeaten 140-run stand with Marcus North 52 not out, while Simon Katich 79 also impressed.
Debutant Brett Arnel, two for 70, was the pick of New Zealand\'s bowlers.
