Cavaliers beat Pistons

J.J. Hickson and Anthony Parker combined for 20 points in the decisive third quarter as Cleveland Cavaliers beat Detroit Pistons 104 to 79 in the NBA last night.



The victory gives the Cavaliers their first season sweep of the Pistons in 30 years.



Cleveland Cavaliers held a double-digit lead most of the game, although the Pistons cut it to 55-47 on a basket by Jonas Jerebko with 10 minutes left in the third quarter.



Hickson finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, Parker had 11 points and LeBron James had 15 points and seven assists while sitting out the fourth quarter.



Jason Maxiell had 16 points for Detroit and Charlie Villanueva had 11 off the bench.



At Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant scored 20 of his 24 points during a dynamic second quarter as Los Angeles sent Washington to their 11th straight loss with a 99-92 victory.



Other winners last night were Atlanta Hawks; Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets.
