Reigning Carifta Games Under-17 200 and 400 metre champions Shericka Jackson, Ristananna Tracey, Jazheel Murphy and Dwayne Extol head Jamaica’s squad released today for the 2010 CARIFTA Games scheduled for the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in Cayman Islands.

The squad also includes Holmwood Technical’s Gleneive Grange, who secured most wins at the CARIFTA Trials, Candecia Bernard, Oshane Turner and Rochelle Farquharson, all of whom secured two victories at the trials.

The CARIFTA Games will run from April 3 to 5.

Jamaica’s 70-member squad along with 11 officials will depart on April 1 and returns on April 6.

Jamaica secured their 25th straight hold on the Carifta title in St Lucia last year by amassing 67 medals to top the standings -- 39 gold, 15 silver and 13 bronze.
