Freak storm hits Australian city

A severe storm in the western Australian city of Perth has left tens of thousands of houses without power.



The cost of the damage is estimated at more than US$100 million.



The storm brought huge hailstones, torrential rains, flooding, landslides and wind gusts of more than 75 miles per hour.



A section of terminal roof at the city’s airport collapsed after the facility received almost a month\'s average rainfall fell in just seven minutes, affecting flights.
