All member nations of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) have reportedly been advised to seek funding from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help steer them through the current economic downturn.
According to St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, Denzil Douglas that the recommendation came from the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Dr Douglas made the disclosure while presenting the 2010 budget yesterday, which was delayed as a result of January\'s general election.
He said his government, which received low-interest IMF funding last year, was examining the central bank\'s proposal.
