Heat defeat Bulls

Jermaine O\'Neal scored 24 points as the Miami Heat took to a 30-point halftime lead en route to a 103-74 win over the Chicago Bulls in the NBA last night.



Pushing for a better playoff seeding, Miami\'s third straight victory and ninth in 12 games lifted them into the Number 6 slot in the Eastern Conference, a half game ahead of idle Charlotte.



Michael Beasley added 15 points for the Heat and Udonis Haslem had 14 on a night when Dwyane Wade scored only 12 in 29 minutes. Wade had 10 assists and five rebounds.



Hakim Warrick scored 14 points and Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose had 12 each for the Bulls.



Other winners last night were Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers.
