Caster Semenya\'s lawyers say the 800-metre world champion, who has undergone gender verification tests, should be allowed to run in a meet tomorrow.
Athletics South Africa acting head Ray Mali says he held a conference call with Semenya and her lawyers earlier in the day on the issue.
Mali says the lawyers had pointed out that Semenya should be cleared to return to competitive athletics.
Mali says he had already spoken with the International Association of Athletics Federations ( IAAF), who is handling the situation and is now waiting for a response over whether it will clear Semenya to run in Stellenbosch, near Cape Town.
