The Trinidad and Tobago government has announced new plans for delivering quality health care to citizens, including the construction of four new hospitals over a 10-year period.
Prime Minister Patrick Manning told the Senate yesterday that the new initiatives were contained in a strategy document adopted by the Cabinet earlier this month.
As a result, he says medical services and quality healthcare will be delivered in the country by four general hospitals and by four other hospitals.
Mr. Manning did not give any details as to the cost of the new hospital strategy, but says his government has earmarked the resources.
