Mumbai Indians beat Punjab

Mumbai Indians with West Indies all rounders Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard carved out a thrilling last over victory over Kings Eleven Punjab in their Indian Premier League game at Brabourne Stadium today.



Set a target of 164, Mumbai reached the total for the loss of six wickets with three balls remaining.



Pollard, promoted to number three after the early wicket of Sachin Tendulkar, scored 20 from 13 deliveries, while Bravo could only manage eight from four balls.



Opener Shikhar Dhawan slammed 50 from 40 deliveries to top score for Mumbai Indians. Ravi Bopara was the most successful bowler for Kings Eleven Punjab with three for 31 off his allotted four overs.



Earlier, Bravo took a wicket for 22 runs from three overs and Pollard was wicketless from two overs, which cost 20 runs.



Lasith Malinga was the most successful bowler for Mumbai with four for 22 to restrict Kings Eleven Punjab to 163 all out off their allotted 20 overs.



Shawn Marsh scored 57 off 47 balls for Kings Eleven Punjab.
