Jamaica received a setback in their quest to defend the West Indies Under-15 Championship by suffering a four-wicket defeat to Guyana in their second round game at Kennedy Park in Trinidad and Tobago today.

Brian Sattaur top-scored with an even 50 to lead Guyana victory.

Sattaur struck five boundaries in his knock, as the Guyanese, chasing 160 for victory, hit the jackpot with 26 balls to spare in the southern city of San Fernando.

Romario De Jonge and Kamesh Kadran both supported with 25 to leave Guyana as one of only two unbeaten teams in the competition so far.

With the win, Guyana are now joint leaders in the series with hosts Trinidad & Tobago on six points.

Jamaica, choosing to bat, were restricted to 159 for five from their allocation of 50 overs.

Sadique Henry led the way with 31, Marquino Mindley made 28, and Fabian Allen got 24.

Devon Lord was the most successful bowler for Guyana with three for 36.

At Munroe Road Recreation Ground in the southern district of Cunupia, hosts Trinidad & Tobago too, romped to their second straight victory, when they defeated Windward Islands by seven wickets.

At Wilson Road Recreation Ground in the southern town of Penal, Barbados bounced back from their first round loss to Jamaica yesterday, with an authoritative seven-wicket victory against Leeward Islands.

The third round of matches will be played on Thursday.
