Dominica\'s opposition United Workers Party (UWP) says the Antiguan court decision is encouraging for its own bid to have the results of the December 18, 2009 general elections overturned.

The UWP, which won only three of the 21 seats, has filed five election petitions.

The governing Labour Party of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit won 18 of the seats.

Mr Skerrit\'s seat is one of the five being challenged in court.

UWP leader, Ron Green, who lost his seat in the election, says he hopes the Roseau cases will be dealt with expeditiously.
